Anyway, the scene where we handed off the tree was pretty funny.
We live on a busy street, and my husband and I carried down the tree box at the appointed hour. Three guys came in a big black SUV, and they demanded to âcheck the goodsâ before handing us the cash. So there we were on the street amidst Christmas shoppers who were giving us the side eye, wrestling with duct tape to open this giant box that looked like it could contain a dead body, and then took cash for itâfrom the outside it all looked very sketchy, my hubby was super embarrassed. I was just thrilled to be finally rid of the treeâgiddy up!
Now I bought a lighter replacement treeâthat I can move on my ownâand we decorated together: me, the hubby, our son, and Sofia. Itâs Sofiaâs first Christmas and sheâs a tree enthusiast. And yes, the tree has already suffered a few mishaps courtesy of her paws, but itâs all part of the holiday spirit.
